How the mop series came about is quite different from my other series. I was reading a book in the studio, 33 Artists In 3 Acts by Sarah Thornton, when I came across the word mop. For whatever reason that day the word struck me was funny. I did a quick little sketch of my version of a mop and became even more intrigued. I also remembered that when I was growing up, every time my mom wanted me to get a haircut (which was a lot) she would call me a mop head. I was hooked!
